Evaluating ComfortNotes
For clinicians, clinics and the people they support.

Evaluate before wider adoption
Start with fictional examples in each profession and service your clinic intends to use. This checklist supports local evaluation; it is not a completed clinical-safety assessment, accreditation or authorisation to process patient information.
- Confirm the agreed processing scope, supplier arrangements, privacy notices, staff access and local safety responsibilities.
- Test capture, clinical review, manual correction, re-approval and appointment-pack preparation.
- Include missing information, corrected left/right details, negation, patient-name mismatches and a failed save. Check that uncertainty is not converted into a normal finding.
- Check every selected letter against the approved clinical record, including after an update. Verify exports and saved versions.
- Agree who reviews problems, which failures stop use and when the clinic will reassess.
Record useful feedback
Use a non-identifying evaluation reference, profession, task, browser, documentation time, correction time, omissions or unsupported statements, any blocked steps and the clinician’s usability rating. Do not put names, patient references, transcripts or documents into general feedback.
Compare similar tasks using your usual method and ComfortNotes. Report the number and type of cases and limitations, not just a favourable average. Record unsuccessful attempts too. Real-care evaluation needs the clinic’s appropriate governance and information arrangements first.
What success does—and does not—mean
A useful outcome is an accurate clinician-approved record and required documents, produced with an understandable workflow. Passing technical checks does not prove clinical safety; user satisfaction does not prove regulatory compliance. No quantified time-saving claim is made here.
Keep detailed evaluation records within your clinic’s approved system. Send only de-identified product feedback through Contact.
